Pinda
Pinda
पिण्ड, piṇḍaa sphere, a body, a part of the whole, a microcosm; a sphere consisting of certain structures
"Pinda" is often translated from Sanskrit as "body" or "core, ball" – something that has a shape, although at the same time, the smooth surface of the ball symbolizes the absence of shape.
In the Siddha-siddhanta, the human body is a copy of the macrocosm (mahasakara-pinda). "Siddha-siddhanta paddhati" mentions several pindas, from garbha-pindas (the body born from the womb) to para-pindas (the transcendental body).
