Seminar in Montreal, Canada, 17-18 October 2026

Yogi Matsyendranath Maharaj will conduct seminar in Montreal (Canada) on 17-18 October, 2026. The seminar is dedicated to a deep explanation of the topic of asanas, pranayamas and some mudras.

Saturday, 17 October

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

The morning session will begin with an introduction to the origin of Śāmbhavī Mudrā (also known as Khecarī and Bhairava), as well as karaṇas, āsanas, and Mey Pāṭam (dynamic exercises).

To consolidate the experience, we will then practice selected movements from Mey Pāṭam, karaṇas, yoga āsanas, and prāṇāyāma.

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

This session will expand upon each of the three components introduced earlier: Mey Pāṭam, karaṇa–yogāsana, and prāṇāyāma. Approximately one hour will be devoted to exploring variations within each of these disciplines, followed by practical training.

After a short tea break, we will continue with the practice of prāṇāyāma, beginning with well-known Haṭha Yoga prāṇāyāmas and then moving on to the fundamental techniques of Vāsi Yoga. We will examine how one naturally develops from the other, how they influence one another, and how they mutually strengthen each other.

Sunday, 18 October

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

The first half of the day will focus primarily on practical integration. Everything introduced on Saturday will be explored through direct practice, allowing participants to deepen and consolidate their experience.

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

This final session will be divided into two parts.

The first part will take the form of a Satsaṅga, during which we will examine the entire system of practices presented throughout the seminar in greater detail, followed by questions and answers.

After a short tea break, we will perform a Pūjā with several objectives. First, to observe how inner yogic experience manifests in external reality. At the same time, the teacher will explain the meaning of the various elements of the Pūjā and how they relate to the cakras and the subtle-body channels (nāḍīs).

The seminar will conclude with a meditation on Nāda — the subtle inner vibration that brings peace to the mind, prāṇa, and the indriyas (the senses).
