Chandra-nadi
Chandra-nadi
चन्द्र-नाडी, candra-nāḍī"the lunar channel", ida
Ida goes down from the left nostril, skirting the sushumna, it is usually correlated with the left side of the body.
With the help of special breathing exercises, one can influence Ida and thereby awaken one's dormant energy centers. This channel is responsible for one’s emotional life and his past. It can be said that the past is stored in the left channel. From here it draws information and images of the Unconscious. In addition, Ida carries the energy of our desire. Our emotions arise from desires. It can be said that emotions are not yet materialized desires. These desires and their accompanying feelings move along the chandra-nadi to those parts of the body where they can take material form.
